On Being 5…part 2

This is part 2 in a series of what it means to be 5.

5 is playing on a team for the first time…first uniform, first time learning all of the rules, first time having teammates, first time having a coach…so many life lessons being taught in a simple way.  The photos make it look like he actually knows what he is doing…not so much. Yes, great strides were made throughout the season. A few things clicked here or there and the coaches were unbelievably patient with this group of boys yet to start kindergarten.  It was fun to watch and they won first place in being adorable…adorably confused, adorably playing with the dirt, picking the grass, staring at the clouds, and occasionally hitting the ball and running, stopping the ball and throwing, and cheering on a teammate. And the bonus was when his Dad helped out on the field…possibly reliving being 5 himself. It was the first experience of many to come and a wonderful addition to Being 5!
