He’s One!

From this……To This Amazing how much can happen in a year!

A and Z

I had such a great time taking photos of this sister and brother duo. I have known these two since they were about 2 and 4 years old. I love having the opportunity to catch up with families, spending the afternoon in a beautiful setting, reconnecting, and capturing a moment in time for their family.

The “p” Family

A long overdue post of photos of this wonderful family…these were taken back in November when we thought it was cold.  I can’t wai to get to leisurely taking photos outside again…1 month and counting! In the meantime, here are some photos of the “p” family:

The “S” Family

After a long cold, wet spell, we had a perfect weekend of  pure sunshine and temperatures hovering around 70.  The fall colors were in full bloom, and unlike just a few weeks later, things were so bright and green we actually had to wait for darkness to begin to set in.  It was so great […]

The “Z” Kids

I photographed this brother and sister 2 years ago and can’t believe how much they have changed over time.  It was a very cold and gloomy afternoon with some drizzle thrown in. Not ideal conditions, but we made the best of it. It was great to chat and catch up and spend time with them! […]

A city shoot

This may have been my most challenging photo shoot to date. We headed into the city on a gloomy Friday afternoon. Due to the crazy Friday traffic, we arrived at our destination in the South Loop about 45 minutes past the time that was ideal for taking photos. Add to that gloomy skies and cold […]

The K Family

Have I mentioned before how much I enjoy autumn and all the things associated with it? The photos I have taken the last few weeks reaffirm my love for the season.  I am way behind in blogging and posting because I have been spending my time photographing several children and families.  The “K” family met […]

Dance

I had the pleasure of photographing over 30 dancers, ages 6-18 that are part of a dance performing company.  Along with their normal dance classes and 2 big dance shows a year, these girls perform several times throughout the year.  The directors of the studio wanted to take the girls outside and have some fun, […]

Jake

Jake is part soldier, part pilot, part ninja, an epic Nerf gun battler, a little serious, sometimes goofy, and extremely photogenic – especially when he was hanging with his dog and dad.  I brought along my own 5 year old assistant. He decided that he would tell Jake some jokes – his smile and laughter […]

Tenley

I have known Miss Tenley since she was about 5 months old. I watched her learn how to walk and talk and saw how her personality developed.  She is beyond adorable and most certainly her own person.  Tenley’s mom has expertly transformed pieces of old furniture into “new” items. She brought along a vanity she […]
